Zantac Litigation
The FDA began recalling the popular heartburn medication Zantac in September 2019 due to the presence of a cancer causing ingredient known as NDMA. It’s alleged that Zantac’s manufacturer Sanofi has known about the link to cancer for decades but failed to disclose the increased risk of cancer to consumers.
Due to its high toxicity, Truvada it has been linked to serious side effects such kidney failure, decreased bone density and osteoporosis. Lawsuits have been filed claiming Truvada’s manufacturer Gilead Sciences failed to adequately warn patients of these risks and suppressed a safer version of the medication for over a decade in order to maximize profits.
The FDA recommends that patients who are at high risk for thrombosis (blood clots) should not take Xeljanz or Xeljanz XR due to the high risk of death or serious injury. Lawsuits have been filed against Pfizer, the manufacturer of Xeljanz claiming that Pfizer failed to warn consumers about the risks associated with Xeljanz.
